Payment: - Monthly fees are payable in advance and must be settled before the 1st of each month.- A late payment fee of R30.00 per child will apply to any payments received after the 1st. - Full monthly fees must be paid for December, January, May and June regardless of attendance or public holidays. - No refunds will be issued under no circumstances. - Accepted payment methods include. -EFT- Direct deposit. - Cash to be placed in a sealed, clearly marked envelope (Name, surname and amount) and handed directly to a responsible staff member/placed in money box on poolside.Please use your ACCOUNT CODE as payment reference.
Termination of Lessons:- A calendar month's written notice is required for termination of lessons.- No notices will be accepted during November, December, May or June.- Written notice must be emailed to: accounts@annsaquaworld.co.za by no later than the 3rd of the month.
Class Scheduling and Class Cancellations: Annalise van Burick reserves the right to modify class schedules or cancel classes with adequate prior notice.
Supervision & Responsibility:The parent/legal guardian agree to:- Supervise their child(ren) before and after lessons.- Ensure children stay clear of the pool area when not in a lesson.- Not tamper with or damage any equipment or property at 6 Columbus Street, East Village, Boksburg.- Be financially liable for any damage caused by their child or themselves.
Protection of Personal Information:Ann's Aqua World (Pty) Ltd is committed to safeguarding your personal information in accordance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (Act 2 of 2000) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (Act 4 of 2013)We will:- Take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data.- Only collect, process, store, share, and dispose of information in line with legal obligations. By providing personal information, you unconditionally indemnify Ann's Aqua World (Pty) Ltd, its agents, employees, and representatives against any liability arising from such disclosure or use.
The member or parent/legal guardian chooses as his/her domicilium citandi et executandi the address stated on the enrollment form. The parent/legal guardian is obligated to inform Ann’s Aqua World Swim School without delay in the event of a change of address or telephone numbers
Health and Safety Regulations:To ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment for all participants, the following rules must be strictly observed:- Security cameras are in operation throughput the premises, including the pool and parking areas, for safety and protection of all. By entering, you agree to being monitored by 24/7 video surveillance.- Access to the swim school via East Village entrance is only permitted with a gate code that will be shared with you. Please do not share this code with anyone to ensure safety for the residents and swimmers. - Parking area must be kept clean at all times. Do not discard rubbish or personal waste in or around the parking area. Anyone found littering will be held accountable. - Entrance door to the pool must remain closed at all times. Children may only enter the pool area with an instructor or responsible adult. - Appropriate swimwear must be worn at all times during lessons.- No food or drinks are allowed in or near the pool area.- Running around the pool is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.- Swimmers must help maintain cleanliness by disposing of litter and storing personal items properly in the baskets provided.- Swimming caps are compulsory for all swimmers, regardless of hair length. (Swimming caps are available for purchase at the swim school if needed)- The use of oils, lotions, creams, or makeup before entering the pool is not permitted. Instructors will not apply oils, creams, lotions or any personal care products to swimmers. - Urinating in the pool is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated. All swimmers are required to use the rest room before entering the pool.- Noise levels must be kept low in and around the pool area to maintain a calm learning environment.- Parents/Grandparents or siblings are not allowed to sit poolside or coach swimmers during lessons to minimize distractions. - Please arrive on time - Punctuality is important for the smooth running of all classes.- In the event of an emergency, instructors are trained in first aid and emergency protocols. Follow staff instructions during emergency. - Please do not attend any lessons if the swimmer experienced vomiting, diarrhea, fever or any contagious illness in the last 48hours.
Seasonal Registration fee:A non-refundable seasonal registration fee of R250.00 per family is payable upon initial registration and again at the start of each new season.
Make-up lesson policy:At Ann's Aqua world swim school, we understand that students may occasionally miss their scheduled swimming lessons. While we do our best to accommodate, when possible, make-up lessons are only considered under exceptional circumstances due to our structured timetable and limited class availability. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
- General policyLesson missed without prior notice are forfeited and will not be made up.Lessons are schedules at fixed times to ensure consistency and effective class planning.Make-up lessons may be offered only in exceptional cases and if space is available.
The following reasons do not qualify for make-up lessons;1. Holiday and family vacations2. School events or sports days3. Parties or social functions4. Personal commitments or poor time keeping5. Any non-medical or avoidable situations
- Notification requirements:To be eligible for a make-up lesson, you must notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled class.Notifications must be sent via WhatsApp directly to your swimming instructor.Make-up requests without sufficient notice will not be accepted.
- Illness & Extended absences:If your child is unwell, a doctor's note describing the illness and its impact on swimming is required for a make-up lesson to be considered.For extended medical absences:A valid medical certificate is required.A maximum of 2 make-up lessons per month will be granted.For absences longer than one month, 2 make-up lessons for every 4 lessons missed may be offered.
- Public holidays:The swim school is closed on all public holidays. If more than one public holiday falls on your regular lesson day within the same month, we will offer one catch-up lesson for that month.
- Winter break make-up lessons:Make-up lessons for the winter break will be available during May and June.These must be booked directly with your instructor in advance.
Important notes:1. All make-up lessons must be completed within 4 weeks of the missed session.2. Missed or cancelled make-up lessons will be forfeited.3. Missed or cancelled do not replace regular lessons.4. Do not reduce term fees.5. Cannot be carried into the next term or credited to future payments.6. It is the client's responsibility to arrange and confirm available make-up lessons within the allowed time.
- Weather Related cancellationLighting is considered an Act of God. If lighting prevents your lesson from taking place, no make-up will be given for that day.If two consecutive lessons are cancelled due to lighting, one make-up lesson will be offered.We use the "lighting alarm App" to monitor local lighting conditions for safety.
Cost Recovery/ Legal fees:The Guardian/Parent/Member will be liable for any legal expenses on an attorney and client scale, collection charges and tracing fees, as well as any amount of government tax, including but not limited to value added tax, which Ann's Aqua World may incur for recovering amounts owing in respect of the account or as a result of the Gradian/Parent/member breach of this agreement or enforced by Ann's Aqua World of any of its rights against the Guardian/Parent/member.
Lesson viewing Policy, photography and videography.To minimize distractions:- Parents/legal guardians may only view lessons during the first of each month.- No spectators are allowed in or near the pool area during regular lessons.- Designated seating is available in the garden area for limited viewing.
Photo and videos: No photos or videos may be taken on the premises without the explicit permission of the instructor or Ann herself. This policy is in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), which is designed to safeguard the privacy and personal data of all individuals, especially children.
Unauthorized photography or videography may violate the rights of others and compromise their privacy. We kindly ask all parents and visitors to respect this rule to help maintain a safe, respectful, and secure environment for everyone at our swim school.
Requirements:
- Swimwear: All swimmers must wear proper swimwear – no casual clothing (e.g. T-shirts or shorts) is allowed in the pool.- Swimming Cap: Swimming cap is compulsory for hygiene and safety reasons. (Available for purchase at the swim school)- Towel & Dry Clothes: Please bring a towel and a set of dry clothes for after the lesson.- Goggles (Optional): Please ensure they fit properly and no novelty goggles. (e.g., with decorations, animal shapes, or toys) - Swimming nappy for children that are NOT potty trained.
Nursery school swimmers:
To help ensure a smooth and quick start to swimming lessons, all nursery school swimmers are required to:- Arrive dressed in their swimming costume (under their clothes).- Bring a clearly marked bag containing the following items:- A towel- A swimming cap (compulsory)- Goggles (optional)- A set of dry underwear for after the lesson
Missed placed/Lost property:- Clearly Marked Items: All personal belongings (including towels, caps, bags, etc.) must be clearly marked with the swimmer’s name.
We will not be held responsible for any lost or misplaced items. To help avoid confusion or loss, all personal belongings must be clearly marked with the swimmer’s name.We encourage parents and swimmers to double-check their belongings before leaving the premises.
Indemnity:The owner, management, landlord or any employee or representative of this company will not accept any responsibility and shall not be held liable whatsoever for any injury, death or illness of any person or the loss or destruction of/or damage to any personal property arising from the use of these facilities and upon entrance of this premises regardless of the cause thereof. Entry of this premises is strictly at own risk.
Transport:
Transport will only be available for morning lessons with nursery school groups.
